A Personal Theology: a theology defined

This is a Theology “type” spotlight – so to speak.  As a seeker of theological knowledge, I will need to define many terms/phrases/idioms/isms …

John Calvin Reformed theology:  "A system of religious belief based on the writings and beliefs of Calvin."  Source:  Glossary of Religious Terms
Who is Calvin?  John Calvin (Geneva, Switzerland) July 10, 1509 – May 27, 1564, was a pastor and theologian during what is know as the Protestant Reformation – in which the Protestant Church broke away from the Roman Catholic Church.  See Martin Luther.

Calvinism:
"Strict theological doctrine of the French Protestant church reformer John Calvin (1509-1564) and the basis of Puritan society. Calvin held that all humans were born sinful and only God’s grace (not the church) could save a person from hell."  Source:  An Outline of American Literature by Kathryn VanSpanckeren.

Welcome to A Personal Theology

These writings are concerning [my] developing a personal theology (through independent research/study) in a world of everyone else's theologies and/or beliefs. They are about defining what I really believe, instead of blindly rolling with what I have been grandfathered into, so that I may know The Creator not in ignorance, but in full knowledge.

This site WILL NOT bash any, ANY existing theologies, belief systems, religions, ideologies, or the people holding any of the aforementioned.  However, the focus is on the positive energy of The Most High, The Creator.

It is the author's hope that her journey to find her own personal theology will be one that is helpful to others.

Again, welcome :)
